FYI

I mistyped the thread title,  sorry about that, but I don't know if this takes the pre order just yet, but it should very soon.  Discounts evidently available to early orders.

Since SWFA is a ZR Dealer I assume the link is OK.

I have been waiting se see these for a long time. The price is a little more than I expected and almost at the Meopta Meostar price. I want to pre order but its hard to spend that much  $$ with out seeing. I guess you could send them back in 30 days if they disappoint. I hope they dont.

ZR better pay close attention to their pricing IMO, and not make the mistake that Vortex did with their Razor HD binos and it's $1200 retail price.  The $700-$800 playing field is jammed with some great glass, even mint/used high class glass with proven performance.  There will be a point where people may pass on a $720 Chinese bino for a $750 Pentax DCF ED for example.  Not a knock on ZR at all intended.  I've been impressed with their products sp far.

Use the order code Prime and the price is cut sugnificantly.  Goes to something like $650 which has, I think, been the target point all along.  That special introductory price is very likely to be the real selling price, or certrainly closer to that than to $720-750.  ZR web prices have always been like that.  Seems a marketer's standard practice.

The PRIME discount is listed now @ 25% (maybe they increased it) so that would make the 8x42s $540. That's pretty competitive and would probably make me choose them over the Pentax if I was in the market for new bins.

Klamath, I like your signature:

I'm on a couple of forums where that statement would go right over their heads . . .
