After months of reasearching and several visits to Scheels and competitor s I have finally decided to buy a Zeiss Conquest 3-9-40 scope for my remington 700. Now all I need to do is decide on a recticle. I have got it narrowed down to 2 different ones. The regular Z-plex and the german #4. Out of the two I like the #4 better and was wondering if it really made a difference or if it was just personal preference. I would appreciate your thoughts and thanks in advace

The #4 reticle will be better in low light shooting situations.

I concur, but SWFA has the Z Plex on sale now, if that matters.

$50 difference, you decide.

Rem700 -

Forget about the $50 and go with what you like.  You'll thank yourself many times later when the moment of truth arrives.

What he said....  go with what you like, but I will say, the # 4 is far superior in low-light . Especially when things go beyond legal time.
