What Zeiss scope would you recommend for $800-.

I'm looking for one with a black finish for a 700 series Remington.

I'm currently leaning towards this one:

If you do get that scope we sell the same model for $699.95. We're cheaper than dirt.

Zeiss 4.5-14x44 Conquest...... $699.95

Great scope. I have a Conquest 4.5-14x44 in silver finish on my Sako 75 Stainless Synthetic. The clarity of the optics is outstanding, the Zeiss Conquest is easily the best scope to be had in this price range.

I plan to use it for mostly target shooting, perhaps deer hunting.

Unless you really think you need the extra magnification, I prefer the 3-9x40.  It will handle your task well and save you a few $$$.

I have both the 3-9x40 and the 4.5-14x44 Conquest scopes.

LOVE THEM LOVE THEM LOVE THEM!

Oh, did I mention how much I LOVED THEM?!

Seriously, best scope out there for the money.  I'm spoiled now and must have Zeiss on all my rifles, though I'm holding out hope for the SS variables.

If MOSTLY for target shooting, get the 4.5-14x - if MOSTLY for hunting, get the 3-9

And buy them from SWFA!

Yes it is a very nice looking setup. My Sako is a .300 WSM and it is a real shooter.
