Is the Zeiss Rapid Z-600 ballistic reticle workable for 5.56 loads (55 to 77gr)?

According to their website, it has a caliber class examples of ".243, .270, .30-06, .300 Win Mag, .325 WSM, etc.".

Any experiences or adjustments taken?

any of the zeiss rapid z reticles will work with any caliber, but you will need to know your velocity and bc of the bullet, then from the online ballistic calculator at the zeiss website put the information in and it will give you the bar as different ranges.

another question that has never been asked but may be of interest to future buyers-- why do the bars extent to the top of the viewing field??  each of the bars is 2 moa. and can be used for ranging, so if your target is 18 inch and it covers 3 bars it is 300 yds away

I've found that ranging system to be very usefull. I also like the windage bars on the ballistic part of the reticle. If nothing else they give you a reference point of how far you are holding off.
