Have you looked at the 4a reticles for low light conditions?

Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 - $399, a "no-brainer"

I have both the Conquest and the VX-3 and I like the Zeiss with 4a reticle overall.

I would pick the Zeiss Conquest despite the cost difference which may not exist in Europe.

+ 1 for Zeiss. Fine scopes, you don´t find better (if you don´t buy a Diavari Victory class scope).

There's been lot of improvements lately on the VX-3 so I'd say either
one (Zeiss or Leupold) would do. If were me I'd probably look at a
Conquest with 4a reticle.

Guess the jury is still out on them because they're so new but the specs sure look good and Meopta does make NICE optics.

I will say this...the Conquest is a great scope, but I am liking my new Minox Za5 more and more everyday....got to get out and shoot some this past Saturday.......sighted right in and put two shots on 1/2 on top of each other when I had it on a rest..........clear, crisp.
That being said, if between the Leupy and Zeiss, definitely the Zeiss. |

Conquest is not sold in Europe ;) Zeiss stars here with Classic Diavari and as far as I know is a better pick than Leupold. |

DT, what was I thinking? I knew tht they did not sell the Conquest in Europe and I have a V/VM (Victory) and know the difference.
I did not go to the range twice a week either until I got old and limited enough by various issues. Not the I can't as easily hunt, I go to the range which I did not/could not do twice a week when I was still working. Edited by Oldtrader3 - June/02/2010 at 22:14 |
