I have been to basspro, cabela's, scheels and locals.....can't find a Zeiss Conquest mil dot to look through, which is kind of concerning to begin with.  Pictures on Zeiss's website and forums aren't clear enough for me to picture it...most of inner circle only.  At any rate....do any of you have a link or pdf or other attachment to help.  Coyote gun will cross over to PD's, and I really want to make double sure I don't make a mistake by getting away from standard crosshairs/Z-plex.  I looked through a mill dot scope (forgot the brand- seemed like i was looking through a submarine...I am sure very useful to someone who could use it...but not for my eye) that had so many dots and lines in the middel that I know i wouldn't like it.....but the Zeiss's looks less "cluttered"...but again is hard to tell from the pictures I can find.  Any ideas/links/pictures or suggestions of another brand that I can hopefully find around  that would have a similar mill dot configuration.   I have decided on the conquest scope finally (thanks again for all the helpfull suggestions - this place is great)....just down to choosing reticle.   I guess at the end of the day if I don't like it I can pay 125 and get it changed, but would rather have that dough in my pocket.

I looked at Conquests and Leupolds recently when I scoped a rifle. I ended up putting a Shepherd scope on it and so far it is great. The shepherd gives you range finding capabilities without having to do mental calculations. Reflexive range finding is done with various size circles that match up with the size of the target. There is one specifically for elk in which the circles represent 24" I believe. The deer circles are 18". Both of these match up with the depth of chest for the respective species. there is also a scope for varmints that the circles are 9", the height of a standing dog and it also matches up with the chest depth f a coyote I think.

Anyway, the glass is perhaps better and clearer than Conquests and maybe even VX III.

I would strongly suggest everyone should look at these scopes.

They are not cheap however and you aren't going to find any deals as the manufacturers control the retail price. they cost anywhere from $600 - $700.

Less than European but more than most all else.
