It says Discover Tomorrow's Innovations Today.

They are giving hints saying a "New Range with optimum image quality and transmission" plus what ever it is its suppose to be feather weight.

They are claiming this is a revolution in optics.

Anyone have any idea whats up? Chris? Anybody?

Is this the answer to the Z6 series from Swaro?

I may have a project coming up that might need a 1-6 or so, and a feather weight from Ziess might sound good.  The Swaro sounds good too though.

"Modern target optics with 30mm mounting ring."  Interesting.

If Zeiss wants to keep this a secret until SHOT, I doubt a dealer would be able to divulge any info or they may not be a dealer anymore.

Yeah, I think "revolutions" in the optics world are coming in pretty small increments, and frequently.

I live about 1 hr. from one of of the largest Zeiss dealers in the the U.S. He actually sells the Duralyt. He told me that Zeiss was testing the market for the Duralyt here in Alabama. As far as I know the Duralyt is only available in Europe and Al.The 3-12x50 sells here for $999 and optically is above a Conquest and a little less than a Victory. We may see that scope more broadly available in the U.S. depending on sales. There was also talk of an illuminated Conquest series for 2012 or 2013.

I was thinking that could be what it is. Swarovski has no problems selling the Z3 line of scopes & they are just over a 1,000 bucks but slightly better optically than the Conquest. The Duralyte would make a lot of sense.

its hard to make a light weight scope with high quality glass. good glass is heavy.

They need to intergrate turret stops on their target  turrets. Doing that would boost their sells beyond any competitor. If khales and Simmons can do it Zeiss has no reason not to. It would keep me from shoppin around as much.

Zero stops, and a hydrophobic coating on the Conquest line, and I'd have to have about a dozen!
