I found one of these for sale, at what may be a significantly overpriced level. I am not familiar with this Zeiss line, though. Is the Diavari-C line a predecessor of the Conquest line? How are the optics and coatings? The scope for sale has a 36mm objective, and interests me because of the compactness it exhibits... it is a 3-9x36mm

On the other hand, if it is Diavari-level coatings the price might not be all that out of line.

Does anyone have any insight?

I recently got rid of a Diavari C MC and got more for it than what I paid for it 10-12 years ago.  To my eyes, its not as nice as the current conquest line, but evidently they are thought to be collectible? Originally they sold for about $400.00, but I've seen them sell for upward of $800.00

Well thanks, lucytuma! I'd say 600 clams is a lot to pay for one of these, then. I'll leave it for another shopper... that is what I needed to know.

I'm not saying they are not worth the $600.00 from a collectible stand point, but from an users stand point, scopes have come along ways in those 10-12years and I believe there are better options available.

Got it - I guess I am a user/collector, but not an antique collector!
