Ok,

Now everyone has me thinking,  and I'm interested in hearing more about the Zeiss Conquest.  Is this scope realllllly any better than the Leupold, Bushnell 4200, or Nikon Monarch UCC?  I know it is in the same price range as the Leupold.

Would I be getting a BETTER scope if I spent the extra money on the Zeiss, instead of the Nikon or the 4200?

You probably would be.

However, most people are better served by saving their money and buying better binoculars.  If you are at all budget limited buy a somewhat less expensive scope (within limits of course, but there are many scopes in $300 range that are quite good and there are some as cheap as $200 as well) and a top notch binocular.

I think you would be better off also.  I would also say koshkin gives good advice.  I believe you would be looking through good binos 5 times as much as an expensive scope.

Right on.  Koshkin and Grubbs have hit the nail on the head.  If you can afford it, get the best binos and riflescope!  If not get a "good scope" and GREAT binos!  And yes, the Conquest is better.  Personally, I would probably go with the Bushnell because of the rainguard; all are good scopes though!
