I finally got a chance to compare my new Zeiss Conquest 3-9X40 against my new Swift Premier 2-7X40.
Putting them both at the same powers, I decided to see what the real difference would be seeing that I paid much more for the Zeiss then the Swift.
What a difference. It is like night and day!
I could not get over the difference in clarity and brightness, even after sundown.
I took my rifle out that has the Swift mounted and the new Zeiss that is still waiting for the new rifle to come in, and began to compare by looking into the woods, across the fields, and just general spotting across the field of about 400 to 500 yards.
It is truly amazing what the Zeiss can do compared to the Swift.
Don't get me wrong, I do love the Swift for what it is, but it is no Zeiss Conquest.
I have owned many different scopes before and paid as much as $350 twenty four or so years ago, and have never had such optics.
I have decided to take off the new Swift and replace it with another Zeiss Conquest 3-9X40.
Thanks to everyone on here and Chris for turning me onto the Zeiss Conquest scope.
I am a true believer!!Yippee

People whine and complain, until they spend the money and see the real thing! Then they believe!

Without a doubt, the Conquests are the best bang for the buck out there and you have to spend almost 3 times as much to get the same clarity.  I have 2, a 3x9x50 and a 4.5x14x44 RapidZ 800.  The 3x9x50 is the clearest scope I have even compared to a Zeiss Diavari V T* 2.5x10x50 or my Kahles 4x12x52 MultiZero's.

I paid $419.00 for the 3x9x50 Conquest!  I don't want to mention what I paid for the Diavari or the Kahles.  Ouch

I don't believe I did any whining at all.
I merely stated that I liked the Zeiss scope better then the Swift.
I can't see how you consider that whining!

Sorry Frank,

I want to thank you because your product write up rocks.  We have people who are regulars who claim that the Zeiss stuff can not really be that good... It can't be better than thier pet brand.  That cheap scopes are just as good as the expencive stuff.  After while you will hear it all.  BS%20FlagThose were the whiners I was reffering to.

Then somebody like you takes a chance and is not only happy, but very happy.  That made our day for a lot of us!  There are a couple people on staff... Most of us hang out here because love guns and optics.  We do not paid to be here.  If you buy a more expencive product we don't get a cut.  Your satisfaction is our satisfaction.  I just needed to get in a "See I told you so"

Silver,
Not a problem. I got a little puzzled after your comment.
I can honestly say that "for me", the Zeiss Conquest will out perform my good, but less expensive Swift scopes. It also has my old Leupold scope beat by a large margin, and I paid right at $350.00 for that scope more then 20+ years ago.
I love this scope so much, that I have contacted Chriss about the purchase of another Zeiss Conquest to replace the Swift on my Browning Bar Safari rifle.
I will not lie. It is sometimes hard to part with the money for a scope that you will look through a few times a year. I spend most of my time in the woods during the hunting seasons, not just for deer, but for small game as well. I think these are the times that you can really appreciate a good quality glass. I am quite sure that there are other scopes that will out perform the new Zeiss I just bought. For now, this is the level I want to be at when it comes to my optics and hunting situations!
I do have far less expensive scopes on my .22's for plinking and shooting paper and cans.
For my serious .22, I have a much better and slightly more expensive Nikon set up for my hunting needs.
I will say that it can be easy to slip into the "My cheap scope does just fine for me" attitude when that is all you are ever used to. It is much like a farmer not wanting to give up his old tractor for that new John Deere with A/C and radio when the old tractor still gets the field plowed just as good!
