I have decided to go with the Conquest.I just think for the $ it is the best choice It was tuff between it and Sightron.I  love the rapid z600 reticle. My question is it will be used mostly for deer hunting.I may shoot a occasional groundhog or coyote. My question is what power would you go with?3x9x40 or for another 100$ the 3.5x10x44 or another 200$ for the 4.5x14x44 with AO.How important is it to have the adjustable objective?  Also which would perform best in low light when the deer move

I would stay away from the AO if your hunting deer and stick with the 3-9x40.In low light you may want to get the larger objective. The Zeiss Conquest is a good performer in low light. The AO is better on higher magnification scopes.

I would get either the 3-9X40 or the 3.5-10X44 for the vast majority of deer hunting conditions and shot distances.  You really don't need more than 10X in my experience, unless you either hunt primarily in very open terrain or you are combining other longer range shooting pursuits with your deer rifle.

Between the 3-9X40 and 3.5-10X44, I'd personally go with the 3.5-10X44.  You have very little difference in low end power yet slightly greater high end for when you need it, and you'll have better low light performance at the higher end of the power range with the larger objective.

I have a 1.8-5.5x38, 4.5-14x44 and a 3.5-10x44 Conquests.............the 3.5-10x44 is the brightest ! It's not a huge amount but it is a tad brighter ! The 4.5-14 loses a little from having the ao I think ! I do like that scope a lot though and killed a buck at 248 yrds this year with my .223  with the 4.5-14 and liked the extra power a lot for that shot !!

Not in Conquest.  They are all 2nd focal plane reticles.

10x is all the magnification you'll need for big game hunting for even the longest shots you should ever attempt.

The warranty is only 90 day's but !  I have one from the sample list and that does not bother me at all. as for as better than I just reviewed a conquest from SWFA and to tell you the truth on all aspects I favored the Kahles but again... IMO... I think others would say the same? you do know that the Kahles is a sister company to Swarovski?

i'm just concerned if something was to ever happen to it could it be fixed. Also does SWFA inspect them any before they trade for them Yes i thought that but has'nt Kahles lately broken away from Swarovski.  I just hate the thoughts of paying 750.00 it it not be no good

most of the Kahles I think are samples or discontinued models not trade ins as for as the warranty well that's the deal. There is a thread here that explains it and where to send them and they are still anorring the warranties and Swarovki still owns them. if it bothers you ....  look at something else.

it would be in the scope section I will look as well by the way the Kahles American is what I have it is just as good as the cl and a lot cheaper if you can find one but if you like the Zeiss then go for that I will eventually get one for my 30-06!

Swaro! or higher grade Kahles....the top self Zeiss are an E ticket as well! on the upper end I think the Kahles and the Swaro's are about hand in hand.
