Jeff, Welcome to The OT!!
Bro, I don't think the lower power Conquest come with target turrets. (I may be wrong.) I think you have to step up to at least a 4.5-14x in order to get those.
None the less, here's a link to the fine Zeiss Conquest line that SWFA offers.
Good shooting!
*Edit to add* I'm wrong again!! Or "still" as my wife would say...
The Conquest 3.5-10x44mm comes with target turrets. I'm quite sure they would resemble the ones on the higher magnifacation models. |

Cheaptrick,
I was inquiring about the standard capped "hunter knobs", as I haven't seen one with the caps off. Are the tick marks visible and easy to turn from a shooting position like the Nikon Monarch Gold's or more like Leupold's low profile knobs?
Thanks,
Jeff |

Golly, Jeff. I could have sworn you asked about the target turrets.....My bad!
I don't remember what the Leupold VXIII turrets are like, but the Zeiss Conquest has a "pull up" type that allows the shooter to zero his rifle, pull the turret up, turn the turret to zero and release it. In other words, no need to pull the top of the turret off using set screws to set to zero. Make sense??
The turrets on the Conquest are a point of contention with some, me included. They are plastic.
That said, the turrets on these types of hunting scopes are "set it and forget it" types, so most folks won't be clicking the W/E knobs a lot. They are functional and visible.
Hope this helps....... |

That does help, I didn't realize the turrets are plastic
Any ideas on an alternate scope?
I'm looking for the following:
-$600 or less -variable with max power of 9X or more -reasonably compact overall -at least 20-25 MOA of UP on a flat base, 1" or 30mm doesn't matter -mid / low (not high) knobs that are easy to read and turn, covered or not doesn't matter -at least 12 MOA of elevation per full revolution with 1/4" or more coarse clicks -3.5" or more eye relief -occular doesn't turn when changing power (like Burris)
Thanks Again,
Jeff

Jeff, I honestly think you'd like the Conquest in spite of the plastic turrets. IMHO, it's the best scope in it's class right now.
Good shooting! Mark |
