Last weekend I shot for the first time on the range my Tikka T3 and the Zeiss Conquest scope. Yesterday I looked through the scope and noticed some dust or other particles that seemed to be in the reticle plane.
Is this normal for a hunting scope or I have to call up the Zeiss customer service? Or there's a way to get rid of them particles/dusts?

Thanks!

If it's inside the scope it's time for Zeiss C/S.

That's the same problem I just had. Zeiss replaced. Sounds like they need a better maid!

jetwrench,
Did Zeiss determine what caused your problem?

As long as they fix it, no worries for me!

I know these companies stand behind their products, but dang it I'm tired of having to find out. Elite 4200: loose reticle (they still have it), Zeiss: crap in the scope, Trijicon: cracked. All within the last few months and all flaws were obvious if they had just looked before shipping them.

Great warranties are nice, but it is nicer by far when you don't have to use them.

I am with SD Dog: the best customer service is the one I don't have to deal with.
Shipped the scope today to Zeiss service.

We'll see... Thanks everyone for help and support.

Quick update: the Zeiss received the scope on the 19 of Feb, 2009. I called them today and they told me they would replace the scope w/ a new one.
They will ship it no later than next Wed.

That's great news, did they mention what caused the dust?

I received the replacement today via UPS. No dust (or I could not see any in low light).
Thanks everyone for your input.
