What is your opinion about this scope? How is it compared to the Diavari V?

I don't know anything about it.....

Seriously, I haven't seen a 30mm tubed Conquest.

I have owned a Conquest (3.5-10x44mm) and would recommend them....hartily.

The VM/V are a world class scope in every regard, but are about $600 more than the Conquest.

If I were considering these two scopes, I'd get the VM/V or a less expensive Conquest.

This particular scope (the Conquest) kind of puts you out in space between a real good scope that meets your needs and diminished returns on YOUR money.

Your looking at a $1000 credit card bill with the 30mm tubed Conquest and the high magnification.

This Kahles beats the Conquest flat out optically and is a FFP to boot for a little more money.

More scope, for about the same money.

Does that make sense?

Its a great scope. About on par with the Khales 3-12x56 but it doesn't hold weight at all with the Diavari series. None of the conquest scopes do when compared to the Diavaris. In the Diavari series the glass is grinded differently plus it has more coatings than the conquest series. That's the reason for the big price jump from about 1k to 1800k.

The Conquest 3-12 should be fine for most big game hunting applications. The Diavari 3-12 is for people who hunt in serious serious low light conditions.

I already have 30 mm QRV-rings for my rifle so i don't think i am interested in 1" scopes. I can get one for about 800 $. Do you have any other suggestions of other 30 mm scope in that price segment?

Try the Khales 3-12x56. Its a GREAT long range, low light 30mm scope for about 1k.

In Europe Kahles, Zeiss, Swarovski and S&B (and sometimes Nickel) are usually considered in being at same level when tested/evalued. To my knowledge the Conquest cheapo series is not sold in EU but some of them find their way to our market. In any case they are not considered anything like the ones I mentioned earlier. People shopping for the "good 4" would not give a second look at Conquest series. In european perspective Conquests compare to Leupolds. If its true that Meopta does their optics it does make sense, Meopta is not in same class with the "good 4" but competes with Leupold easily.

So, I agree with all you said but the thing being on par with Kahles scopes. Not competing at same level at all. Like Ford makes both GT and Escort but only one of them competes with Ferrari.
