I'm a conquest fan myself and have no experience with the meopta. I like the eye relief and local service facilities here stateside for the conquest. There should be some posters along soon who can give you experience with the meostar.

i have had field experience w/ both lines of scopes. both are excellent glass.
i would put the meostar up there close to the bigboys as far as glass quality.

if you can get the meostar W/ illumination - i would opt to go that route.

if you are leaning towards the zeiss, get a #4 reticle, it's the next best thing to a decent
illuminated reticle for lowlight.

if eye relief is an issue (big kicking gun?) - you may want to get conquest (check out the eye relief for both)

good luck.

Just got back from the gun shop. I was amazed with how bright the Zeiss and Meopta were. The Meopta has a bigger field of view than the Zeiss. I also take my Schmidt & Bender 2.5-10-56 just to compare and I was amazed that they all were so close in brightness.I really liked the red dot on the Meopta. Thanks for the info and help Jon, you are right on about the Meopta and the big boys!!
