I'm putting together a Savage FLCP-k in .308 that will mostly see range and plinking duty but could find itself in a deer stand. I've narrowed the optic down to the Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x50, I'm just not sure what reticle to go with. I've been leaning towards the Rapid Z800. Zeiss' page states the Z1000 is geared towards the .308 but that reticle appears to be VERY busy. To that point, I don't find my Eotech XPS to be too busy. As this is my first magnified optic, I just don't know what I need or will like. Obviously that is somewhat subjective. Any insight you can provide is much appreciated.

The Z-Plex reticle is great for deer/large game. It is "very" black and is really visible in very low-light conditions. The Rapid-Z reticles are just as dark but they are quite smaller so they may not be as visible in the very low-light conditions.
