Flame throwers scare the liven hell out of meFlame ThrowerYikes

I was kinda forced to shoot one once. It was neat but I didn't like it. There is just something unnerving about having gallons of gas strapped to your back while shooting flames out in front of yourself. It's HOT, and not in a good way.

Pump up 2 gallon sprayer, 1 gallon of gasoline mixed with oil, and 1/2 bottle of dish washing detergent. Tie a cotton string for a wick on the end of the wand. This is very effective on bumblebee nest in the ground. Will shoot 30 feet when pumped up good.

Damn Lile, your crazier than me. At least mine was the real thing being serviced and supervised by guys who claimed they knew what they were doing. I at least knew they had been operating for several years without creating an extra crispy customer.

Sorry, although I've fought many a fire, I not willfully give it a shot to burn my biscuits. I don't burn leaves! Bag'em!

Do you have a S. Texas cactus cooker or a real flame thrower?

Mine is propane based... puts out a bit more flame than what you showed, but it won't burn up a tank...

It's a fun toy...

YOU are the only one I know who could afford the XM42...

The one I shot was a US Military (WWII I think) flame thrower. I didn't want anything to do with it, but the guy insisted I shoot it. Yeah,OK wee it was fun. now get this thing off of me so I can go put lotion on my new sunburn.

They used kerosene instead of real napalm because it's cheaper and probably safer, so instead of throwing a narrow stream of fire farther, you got a cone of fire that was about 25-35 yards maybe.

One time they put a flame thrower in the bow gun of our tank (M5A1 Stuart), and wanted me to drive the tank. I asked if the tanks were going in the crew compartment. They said,"yeah". I said I'd stay back on the firing line and take pictures, which I did.
