I had the opportunity to attend this year's Super Bowl.  It was quite a trip.

Super Bowl Experience has a lot to do there.  Right adjacent to the stadium is the NFL experience.  A lot of games for punt, pass, and kick type contests where they measure your performance.  Running courses with moving obsticles and what-not.  The area includes a bunch of memorabelia including very old uniforms worn by players, past bowl tickets, a display of all super bowl rings, etc.  Among the items is the Lombardi Trophy.

A few stories:
Roger Staubach Heisman Trophy winner and legendary Hall of Fame quarterback for the Cowboys from 1969 until 1979 was at our hotel.  He was in town as an observer since he is on the committee for one of the upcoming super bowls.  A nice guy to say the least.  Someone asked "Are you a Steeler fan?"  His reply?  "No, I HATE the Steelers".  lol.  We all chuckled at that one.  This is a quality guy.

Also appearing was Mel Blount, six-time All-Pro defensive back with the Steelers.  I didn't get to speak with him but my Father did.

Everyone was pretty respectful save a few guys.  One or two guys who thought they were in their living room would stand up constantly....even though NOBODY was standing in front of them.  It didn't take long for season ticket holders to provide them detailed instructions on "Standing only when you cannot see".  Some guys were jerks for a while and would stand to spite others, but eventually they realized their idiocy.  Among the two worst offenders were were Steeler fans to our right and down a row.

Whilst going to the bathroom at half-time my Father was following a guy that unknowingly dropped his hat and terrible towel out of his pocket.  A group of Cardinals fans proceeded to stomp on the guys towel and hat.  A Steeler fan saw this happen, went over, grabbed the hat and towel from the ground, and returned it to the man that didn't realize the event had occurrred.  Nobody said a word.

As my Father and I were walking through the NFL experience an older man was sitting with his son.  They were Arizona fans.  As we walked by the son got up and offered his seat to my Father  (Age 75) without us saying we wanted to sit down.  Two great guys, salt of the earth type people.
