Hello, sorry to bother in this forum but I couldnt find an answer to a really easy question for a scope forum I believe.

I bought this scope, which says to be x50, but look at it:

I messured it too, but since it is my first (and cheap) scope I dont know if I am doing it right, so I wanted to ask you if you could tell me wether this scope is x50 or x56.

Thank you, and sorry again for the noob question.

Your  side view picture tells you it is a 3 X 9 X 50.  Meaning it is a variable power 3 X 9 with a 50 mm objective lense.  That is the diameter of the objective lense before assembly.
Hope this helps.

Sorry bud it is a 50 mm on the up side I have a Tasco 3-9x40 that has held up pretty good in spite of the fact that it is a cheap scope with so so glass.  What worries me more than the scope are the mounts because I cant tell what kind of rifle you have it on --- it sure looks like its up too high unless its an AR.   Give it a go and when you are ready for a better scope ask us first before you buy next time.

Ooh, ok, I wanted to be sure it is x50, since I'm buying it a scope extender. Well, thank you for your time. I will let you know before I but my next scope so you can guide me to a good buy.

Thank you again!

I clicked on one of your links, it took me to a site whose lead in was "For the best in Quality Optics..."  Two of the links were fine, don't know what the issue was with the third.
As I stated in the PM, if you will send me your pics, I will be happy to post them for you.

I've tried several methods and cannot repeat the "experience".  I don't know what sent me to the optics site, I had never been to it before.  I can find no imageshack linkage.  However, I would still be happy to post your pictures, or send me your links and I will repost.  I completely deleted them, just in case.

Certainly no harm, no foul on your part...
