I travel for work a fair bit, and when I have a chance I go and take pictures when I end up in an interesting place.

I was in Montreal for a couple of days, but it was raining, so no pictures.  Today, I drove over to Toronto, so the first thing I did was snap a picture through a window in my hotel room (this is straight out of the cell phone with no adjustments).

Very nice.  iPhone or Android?

Also, do you take pictures in 4:3 format on purpose in a cellphone as opposed to 16:9 and why?  My Note 5 has the best resolution at 16:9.

Android (Pixel).

Most modern cell phones uses image sensors with native format being 4:3.

They window down to 16:9 for video.

Note 5 was one of the few with native 16:9 aspect ratio.  Samsung got that out of their system with newer phones.

Very nice photos, Ilya! I like the moody skies and the rich colors!

Man ILya, you travel to some of the real armpits of the world. How do you do it?
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

It is tough, but somebody has to do it.

Of all the places around the US that I go to for work, this is easily one of most picturesque..

Wow, the buildings are amazing.  Beautiful.
Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

Quote Wow, you really know how to make good shots. I once went to Germany for work. Then there was a really heavy downpour, but you can't imagine how happy I was about it. I had to go to Munich, so I looked at the train schedule in advance in dbreiseauskunft.com and I chose the most convenient day for me, because it was raining then. I am a person who prefers rain to all other weather. I rode the train for 4 hours and looked out the window, there were even photos that my child accidentally deleted. God, this is such an unreal atmosphere. Dude, I sincerely envy you that you got there on that day :)

dude, don't use the links, please
