Freshman question here.  So I just installed a Leupold windage adjustable rear base on my Marlin 336.  The obvious purpose is to move the scope by the screws on the base instead of adjusting with the turret.  It took effort to turn in the front dovetail.  With that said, when adjusting the rear base with the screws, this should also turn the front dovetail ever so slightly to keep the front rings flush on the scope tube wall.  My question is can this much torque on the scope caues any harm?  Logic says no otherwise windage bases would not be made.  I just have to ask.
