What wind gauges does everyone like? I was gonna get one to help me cause Im still learning to read the wind and need some assistance. I was looking at the Kestrel 2000 (94bucks). Trying not to spend over 100 bucks. Is 100  dollar gauge even worth anything, or should I just go with my gut?

Get at least the Kestrel 4000 or above.  They have the density altitude reading which makes things a ton easier.

One thing about Kestrels that I don't think a lot of people know is they are not altimeters.  You have to manually either set the altitude or the baro pressure.  When it knows one of them it knows the other.  Every time you change elevation you have to set it again.  So in reality you need a GPS to run with it.

I got my kestrel 4000nv last night but i got a problem. The temperature reading is off. I know inside the house its 70 degress. and it says its 80-82. I read teh manual it said to make sure there is airflow over teh sensor so i put it in front of a fan it only might dropped 1 degree. OUt side it was about 68-70 last night and the sensor read about 78. So i think its off. Am i not using it correctly or do I need to call customer service and send it back.

Never had one so I dont' know what to tell you.  Does it have a reset button or have you tried to take the batteries out and then back in.
Don't know what the warranty is or where you bought it but I hope you can get it fixed.

Its very weird, it was off by 10+ degrees everytime i checked it. then about 10 am this mornnig it just corrected itself. It must have just had a glitch or i was handling it to much and the heat from my hands kept it warm. I dunno but it seems to work now.
