Altho i've never shot 1 i've heard good reports on it generally-- truth is, i'm getting away from rifles and back into the specialty handguns, but this 1 in the .223 WSSM really intrigues me. I think that cartridge put together with the 65 gr. JLK LD bullet (.395 BC), and a 4-16X Signature Ballistic Mil-Dot ought to get out there some, and would probably be the only factory rig that could run with the big boys (custom fast twist, big-cased .22's). I'd haul it around the prairie some as a super duper long-range coyote sniper (low volume shooting), if it fit the bill, which i believe it just might.

I say No because we had to send our .223 WSSM back to Winchester at their request for a factory recall.  I had them just issue a check instead of getting the rifle back.  They would not say what the recall was for and I did not want to think about the rifle blowing up every time I shot it.  Might want to contact them and see what serial number range was affected.

I'd still call them and see if the recall was a "Coyote" related issue or a ".223 WSSM" issue.

300WSM is an awesome mixed game caliber... what bear though??? for black bear, and elk, you really only need a 270WSM, and it wont hit you as bad, and flinching really causes accuracy loss.
