Does anybody have any experience with these rifles and particularly the stocks that are issued with them?

I have an Extreme Weather in 270 Winchester topped off with a Zeiss Conquest.  I'm very pleased with the rifle in how it carries, points and its accuracy.  While the stock is not a McMillan, I personally like the feel of the synthetic stock on the EW's.  However,  some feel it is too bulky or blocky in the forearm.  The aluminum bedding block seems to make this stock really stiff.  A whole lot better than the average "tupperware" stock found on most factory rifles.

Don't they use the B&C Medalist for the EW?  I have those on different rifles and think they are very good.  I like them just a tiny bit better than even the (very good) HS Precision stock.  Both are very stiff and have good recoil pads.

I believe you are correct that it is a B&C Medalist.  I also agree the recoil pad B&C uses is very good....a Pachmyr Decelerator if I'm not mistaken.  The trigger is not too shabby either but I did have to adjust it all the way down for my tastes.

On B&C's website, it says something about the Medalist being "similiar" to the one used on the extreme weather. I know that if my ultimate shadow doesn't shoot the way I want it to, then the Medalist is where I will be heading.
