We are fortunate to have Mr. Bill Wilson himself as a member of The O.T.  Ya'll should check out his web site as it is first class.

http://www.wilsoncombat.com/

I noticed that they have a new Polymer Pistol that is really nice.  They don't have a name for it yet and they were running a contest to name it but it ended today.

Here is what I submitted.

FEATHER
It is a simple one word name that conveys the main selling point of the weapon.  It also lends itself to some unique logo possibilities for branding.

Here is a link to the new "FEATHER" and the form is still active to submit your suggestion for the new pistol's name.  Hurry and you might win one of these new "FEATHERS".

I've been a Wilson Combat fan since way back before the shotguns and ARs and custom knives and custom leather.

My first personal 1911 was GI1911A1 from Springfield Armory, and it was entirely rebuilt with Wilson parts - and eventually refinished by them with their teflon finish.  That was about 15 years ago and that gun still runs like a top.

Bill, we're happy you joined us, and a commemorative SWFA pistol would be much appreciated (color case hardened, if you don't mind) send it to me for review first, please.

Bigdaddy gets picked on enough (plus we all know that Bill won't pick his for liability reasons.)

I'm really glad to have Bill here visiting with us.  I obviously have not paid enough attention to the pistols he's been building as he is doing some very innovative work.  I knew they were top shelf but I've been concentrating on rifles the last several years. I've always had a 1911 - well almost always mom bought me one when I was about 15  - Colt Government  $125.00.  well gas was .19 cents a gallon then too.
