I have been wanting an AR10 for a while. the bug hits me then goes away..

It bit hard and took hold when I saw first picture of the Wilson Combat AR10.  I own one WC 1911 and two ARs, a 5.56 and 6.8, so, I know the quality and attention to detail with their gear.

I decided to go with the 18" fluted and 14" handguard and I already had planned to do my next AR with the receiver set and handguard in brown with everything else being black, so a quick email to WC and I had it ordered.

I picked this up Friday from my FFL, the SilencerShop in Austin.

It feels very light (for an AR10) and very balanced, even with the very light buttstock on it.

I took it out over the weekend for a quick function test.  I wasn't too concerned about group size as it was cold and windy and I am not 100% sure this is the optic I will run long term.  Initial shots were within 3/4" with Barnes 168 Vortex.

I have a Mark6 3-18 showing up today I plan to try on it as well.  I am running my Templar Tactical Archangel on it though it might get switched out for the Nemesis30 which is much shorter, just not as quiet.

I hope to get it on Wednesday to stretch it's legs to 1K and then hunt for 4 days starting Friday.  I will also get a chance to do some real group testing with various ammo.

The rule with AR10s is lube, lube, and more lube.

They are often overgassed, but I would hope Wilson put some time into tuning their gas system.

My AR10 wears the same scope (NF 2.5-10, mine is the 42mm, yours looks to be the 32mm variant), awesome scope, great power range for a 308 auto, in my opinion.

Let us know how it goes.

Nice looking.  What RC said about LUBE… mine seems to be performing well now with 168gr bullets and lots of Frog Lube.

I really like your color scheme.

The BCG is NP3 coated, I put some Frog lube on it and shot it.
The gun feels so SMOOTH

It ran 100% with and without can and zero gas blow back.
In fact, I forgot to put my glasses on for the first shot and realized it right as the shot broke and was pleasantly surprised...

They definitely got the gas port size, BCG weight and buffer setup right.
It uses a fixed GB and they say it doesn't need an adjustable.  Well, so far, I would say they got it right.

I need to load up some 178 AMAX and take it out to 1k and see how it does.
I expect 750 and under it's a hammer.

oh yes, the scope..
this is the 42mm, it's a damned nice scope.
I have a Bushnell LRHS 3-12 that would be a good fit as well, glass is the same quality but it is a tad heavier.  I have a Mark 6 3-18 showing up today I want to try on it as well.  But, yeah, I agree the NSX is a good fit.  The Mil-R reticle is a bit on the fine side for hunting but I have only needed to use the illumination one time on some pigs a few weeks ago about 15 minutes after legal deer hunting time.

That is a fine looking rifle! Have a look at the Ruger's too. For the money mine is an excellent shooter. Piston too.

Spent 4 days hunting and testing various ammo..
it's a shooter for sure..
everything grouped great

saw these two hogs come out about 200 yards out and waited until they lined up and sent a 168g TTSX
