looking for some info on teh following mount... recently acquired an aimpoint M2 that came with a Wilcox mount

the mount itself is still brand new.. how much is it worth if i sell it?  the Wilcox is suppose to be a copy of the PRI mount but made out of an extrusion for cost cutting.

its suppose to be standard SOCOM issue? but cant really find any info on it.

SOCOM using Wilcox mounts? News to me. I never heard of them.

I thought they were running Knights Armament rails and ARMS Aimpoint mounts.  I may be wrong, of course.

Where did you hear about the Wilcox mount being SOCOM issue??

PRI I have heard of. Supposed to be pretty squared away stuff.

Thanks for the pics, junkie.

this is a reply i got on another forum.......

"THE WILCOX AIMPOINT MOUNT IS A LINE-FOR-LINE COPY OF THE PRI, BUT MADE FROM AN EXTRUSION TO SAVE ON COSTS. THEY DID GET A GOV'T CONTRACT FOR THEM.

WILCOX DOES NOT SELL THEM TO US CIVILIANS.

THEY ARE DECENT MOUNTS, MORE INTERESTING DUE TO THEIR RARITY THAN ANYTHING ELSE."

I have an apparently brand new Wilcox mount exactly as shown in the photo in this thread.  Can anyone suggest the best venue for selling it?  I suspect most ebay browsers wouldn't know what it was.

I would suggest here at OT, like you just did and SnipersHide and AR15.com.
