This is the same scope minus the knob with drops marks on it.  IT should give you all the specs you need though.

yeah i looked at that at the same time i was looking at the ar...the mk2 doesn't have the same offerings in retilces...it just struck me as funny that a retail outlet would have the product before the manufacturer put it on their website...zp...

i don't have an ar rifle...would the 223 calibrated reticle be that far off if i mounted it on a 20" heavy barrel on the 700ltr and shot 55gr...i will be loading my own sooner or later and i imagine i can dial it in with powder...zp...

It would be off some because of the height difference of the scope to the bore on the two different rifles.  I just ran the number quickly on exbal.

At 2000 ft elevation 78%humity, 59 degree, 55 grain fmj bullet going 3240.  On ar rifle is would drop about 42 inches at 500 yards.  On the bolt gun about 48 inches.  At 300 yards 7.5 on the AR and 10.5 on the bolt gun.  So that is enough that it could cause misses on small game.  That is the problem with calibrated scopes.  You change anything and it messes with them some.

that occurred to me as i was looking at it but once you start looking at scopes sooner or later you find everything out there...swfa is a wonderful place to do research as they carry such a wide variety of scopes in every price range...when looking for a rifle i was torn between 22-250 and 223, the rifle i found played a major part in my decision making process, i got it new for less than they go for used, the local economy is in the toilet and i guess he just wanted to get some cash flow...the 700 lrt has a hs precision stock, fully bedded and a sweeeet trigger...it's going to be a long winter waiting to get to the range...thanks for your input...zp...
