Since this forum has by far the most traffic, I'll ask here:

Who makes the best bipod?

I know about Harris, but is there anyone else?

The best is the one you can afford. Most shooters (it seems to me) find the median around Harris which should say a whole lot.

ime It depends what you'll use it for.

The Harris (and Outers copy) are perfect if you do not need to pan. If you need pan then VERSAPOD. I recoomend teh tilt version rather than the fixed unless you know the surface you shoot from is 100% horizontal and you mount the bipod dead centre

The negative with older VERSAPOD is that the bipod feels wobbly and allows the gun to flop over - with a LARGE scope it can topple. The new versions have locks.

I use both depending on needs.

Harris. I own about 3 and have one on my 10/22, one on my .257 roberts, and one on my .220 swift.

My vote goes to Harris.  They are American-made, too.  Don't know about the VersaPod or Outers...
