Which Burris???? What u using it for?? I have a Euro Diamond and 2 Burris Six X scopes. The glass in both is fantastic and the SIX X also has Storm Coat which is a water repellant coating. Can't comment on the Kahles other than to say they have an outstanding reputation but they are having distributor problems in the US. Warranty work if you need it is done in Austria and it may take awhile.

Burris makes good scopes, but I will take a similarly configured Kahles over Burris any day.

I would also agree with Ilya (similarly configured scopes) as there is no question about the Kahles' quality. The question that needs to be answered though is are we comparing a 3-9x42KX to a 4-16x50 Black Diamond. Two very different scopes for two very different purposes. Is he just punching paper at 600yds? While the 3-9x42KX is certainly capable of that the 4-16 B/D would be much better suited to that. Or is the scope primarily going to be used for hunting with the vast majority of shots at 250yds or less and maybe a once in a lifetime 600yd shot. In that case go with the Kahles. Or is this going to be a dedicated long range hunting rifle? I guess what I am saying is we are lacking information on the components as well as purpose here. I know it's easy to just say go with the Kahles but until we know the aforementioned specifics it is hard to make a suggestion. Something I should have also put in my original post.

Yeah - You got the right one.... I love my SIX X's but I really wanted the 2x on the bottom end as well as the Storm Coat since mine are on big game rifles, a 7mmRM and a 338WM. Not to mention I didn't have access to a Kahles for the same price as the Burris. For your 22-250 with smaller targets any increased resolution and clarity of the glass will be much apprectiated. Enjoy your new scope....

The Kahles was the right choice.  The upper end Burris are fine scopes, but the Kahles is much better.
