Got a Remington 700 300 WSM short action and was wondering which Warne base I needed, I see some are extension base which I am unfamiliar with.

I was thinking of the 2 piece steel base and rings are probably gonna be Burris tactical.

You have a couple choices here. The two piece paired set is M902/876M The other is an M673M Short action Rail.

I hope that helps.

I have warne bases and rings on my model 700. mine is a long action (30-06) and no extension rings were needed. With a short action like yours you should have no problem mounting a tactical type scope. You should have all the back and forth (eye relief) adjustment that you need. Hope this helps, Bricat.
