I'm pretty sure that it is a leupold, and I'm pretty sure it came from SWFA, as the person with the ad is also selling some SWFA rings.
So if the scope is in decent shape, is this a good leupold, or should I avoid it like the plague? http://spokane.craigslist.org/bar/2628998384.html Quoted from post "I have a 4.5-14 X 50mm rifle scope that was suposed to be mounted on my rifle but finances forced me to sell the rifle. This scope has a illuminated reticle and has turrets that can be adjusted for long range shooting. Idaho F&G rules allow illiminated reticals for hunting. I am looking to sell it but will entertain trades as well. Make me a barter offer. Looking for $350-Paid $550 for it." |

Thanks for the link! If I could get the seller to give me the number off the scope.(assuming it has a serial number) would it be possible to call leupold and see if it is indeed a real scope. I don't want to get burned, but it seems like a fantastic price. I'll be heading that way in a few hours and thought I would check it out on my way through. (will print off the knock off papers to take with me too.) Thanks again. |

It is not legit. Leupold never marked Mark 4s under the turrets like that.

Oh... thanks, they should specify that in their warning to customers. I wasn't sure about that. Maybe leupold would like to chat with the person though to find out who is marketing phony product. |
