I just recently purchased a .22-250 and I'm looking for a scope.  I will be calling coyotes and shooting prairie dogs out to about 500 yards, so it needs to be pretty versatile.  I've been looking at these scopes

Weaver V24

Weaver GS 6-20x

SS10x

Any opinions on this matter would be great.  I want a scope that will stand up to a lot of wear and tear.  Are any of these scopes better than the rest.  And out of the two Weavers, which is better.  Thanks

Prairie Dogs + 500 yards = 14X or better. Bench rest or laying on the ground.

The Weavers are a little dim at full mag.  The SS 10X50 is much brighter.

I got a Burris 4.5-14 42mm NIB For Sale.... Ballistic Plex  $280.00 + USPS.

Weaver Grand Slam 6.5-20x40 is very good for the money, more versatile than a fixed SS 10x42 and slightly better glass to boot.

This might be another one to consider.  Koshkin is on target you are better off with a variable you need high magnification for Prarie Dogs but you need low magnification and light gathering for fast moving Coyotes in low light.  You might look at the Nikon Monarch Gold 2.5-10X56 if you can handle the $800 price and do more Coyotes than prarie dogs.  I f you night hunt the coyotes you might consider an illuminated scope like a

Thanks for all of the advice guys.  I've heard a lot of people say really good things about the Weaver so I'm leaning that way.  It has the magnification I'm looking for and from what I hear it has good optics and adjustments.  Thanks again for the help and I'll let you guys know how it turns out.
