I know there are other threads on this topic but not with the options I am looking at in my budget. I will be using the 10/22 for mostly small game mostly around 50 yards and general plinking. I want either a 2-7x or 4x, probably the variable power. My budget $150 or less. So far I've narrowed down to these:

Nikon P-22 2-7x-32mm with BDC 150 reticle

Nikon P-22 2-7x-32mm with NikoPlex reticle

Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x-32mm either reticle

I'm not sure I really want/need the BDC for the extra money. I read some reviews that the Nikon blows away the Crossfire but on the other hand I've heard good things. Plus the Vortex warranty is unbeatable. Opinions?

EDIT: Removed links to SWFA competitors.

I meant to put the vortex options as the rimfire scope.

Please read the Forum Rules you agreed to when you registered your user account, specifically Rule #3, which says:

"3.  Do not advertise other retailers selling the same or similar products as SWFA, this includes posting links to other retailers for products sold by SWFA.  SWFA does not provide this forum as a vehicle to redirect customers to our competition."

This discussion board is owned by SWFA, an optics retailer. Not only is it against the rules to post links to other optics retailers, it is discourteous to use the very forum SWFA provides for your free use to redirect readers to their competitors.

My apologies, no disrespect intended.

Welcome to Optics Talk.

I have and really like my Weaver Rimfire 2-7x. I have it atop a CZ 452.

http://swfa.com/Sightron-2-7x32-SI-Hunter-Rimfire-Scope-P65956.aspx. Don't overlook this one either. I've had one on my 22 for a while now and it's a great scope. It has a fine crosshairs so won't be good in low light but if your plans are for daylight use for small game and targets it's a great little scope. Extremely good optics and repeatability.
