Which lower would be more correct for a M16A1 upper with a 20" 1:12 barrel, triangle hand guards, and a 3 prong flash hider?

Partial fence A1
Full fence A1

The upper is a clone and not original.

Thanks

This question begs asking - why clone something that has been so drastically improved upon.  Let me put it this way I bought my first AR-15 in 1977 it was a 20 in gun with triangle handguards and a relatively think barrel with 1:12 twist. The last M16A1 that I carried - owned by the Air Force was also a 20 in gun with round type handguards 1 :7 twist for 62gr green tip current issue ammo. I simply would not buy a barrel in the 1:12 twist to shoot the 50 gr bullet.   What I want is the 69 gr 75 gr and 77 gr which carry more energy and are designed for competiton target use with a "service rifle" upper.   White Oak Armory builds an excellent "service rifle" upper for competiton ----it looks for all intent and purpose like the military rifle --- I could tell them apart but most people could not.  It is a free floated match barrel with a pinned rear sight which tracks straight up and straight down on the pin a huge accruacy advantage.
just order it and wait your turn it will be what you want plus it will be highly accurate.

I appreciate all types of rifles, AR's and their variants included. I cant' say that I've seen one that I wouldn't own if I could afford it. What I want now is a "retro" rifle, I've never shot one, much less owned one and would like to have it. I would buy an original if I could afford it, but that's out. This rifle will be shot to have fun with and not worry about MOA. I have no plans to shoot competiton and don't really want a competition upper. If I get to that point then WOA is where I'll be. Next here I want to get their SDM barrel and build a tack driver.

There some good AR out there for around 700.00 That will shoot 1/2 and less with your reloads with a little work.

I thought so as well.  I had never heard of partial and full fence.  Interesting to see the progression of the rifle over the years.
