Fella's;

I'm wondering if any European optics manufacturer imports any gloss finish scopes into this country.  For that matter, the only domestic supplier that I can find is Leupold, and a very limited selection there.  I know the reason for the situation is marketplace demand, but I'm amazed at how far the pendulum has swung.

In my particular instance, I'm just finishing up the constructin of a custom gun that's had a gloss finish blue done to it & want to match that type of finish with the scope.  The game the gun's made for could care less about the aesthetics of the gun.  The issue simply doesn't exist.  Since the firearm itself is a European, and the stock is a Mannlicher type, I'd like the scope to be Euro also.  Anybody know of anything out there?

Thanks, 900F

Nope. Seems like Leupy is about it. You may be able to find something used or, send one (Swaro or S&B for example out for painting. I used to have a gloss Sightron and Nikon but no more... and they certainly weren't European. FWIW, I just put a gloss (sort of...LOL) steel tubed Weaver repro on a Cooper Custom Classic. I think it looks quite nice. Good luck in your search!
