You'd be better off buying him a beer. Probably just mad after getting hit by a car.

That kind of strange behaviour always makes me think of rabies.  Used to be a big problem around here with fox, racoon and skunk.

I shot a skunk in my dooryard in Kansas a few years ago ....at 10 in the morning!!!  It was taking a big dirt bath in one of the cellar window wells and would not run away when I yelled at it.  I then grabbed the water hose and sprayed his ass---and he still wouldn't stop rolling in the dirt!!!   NOW I was worried!! Shocked So I went into the house and got the 22 and shot his ass right there five feet from the front door!  Fortunately he didn't spray....of course, he already smelled " bad enough"....

............uhh..........then I had to 'dispose' of him.....................NICE.  I put him in a Hefty bag and took him to the County Agent/ Vet place in Pratt and asked if they wanted to test him.  Well, they wanted me to pay Kansas State U $100 for the test!  I said: " WHAT??!!  I thought maybe y'all would like to know if he was rabid!!  I don't give a sh*t!!...he didn't bite me!! "

I tossed his ass---bag and all-- in the dump ( probably rabid!! ) and went home and took two baths.....

( .....did I want to pay $100 to KSU for the test!!!   Huh!!!  )   Eek

Shot a rabid coon years ago in the haymow.  Called our govt agency that is supposed to care.  They told me to cut off the head and bring it in.  Don't think so!  Doused it with diesel and gave it a viking funeral.
