Hi Guys

Was hoping someone could let me know how the IOR 1.5-8x26 performs in lowish light conditions?

All the best, and many thanksBig Smile

I have had 2 of the 1.1-4s and numerous other 24mm objective scopes (TR24, etc..)
I can't imagine this scope having great clarity/brightness in very low light

the two IORs I had, both with the CQB reticle were overwhelmingly bright and obscured the target

IOR has a few scopes that have great illumination.  The new 2.5-10x, the hunting 2.5-10x, the new 6-24x, and the new 3.5-18x.

All the other IOR scopes illumination sucks big time, including the one you are asking about  The optics are very good and they look good in low light, but the illumination is so bright even on the lowest setting that it lights up the entire picture with a red glow.  If you are after a great low light scope, look at Trijicons line.  The glass is not quite as good as IOR, but because of the very good illumination system, they are a better low light scope.

yep, that's my concern, I LOVE Trijicons for their illumination...
I am expecting a call from IOR any minute about a loaner for T&E/review

Guess this may help with the IR....

"Instead of 2024 battery, you can use 1024, which makes illumination a lot better for low light.

ILya"

As long as the glass is good I can live with the ret.

Thanks for the help
