Excellent hunting scope. Light ,sits low to the rifle and the power starts below 3X. Without knowing you rifle or intended use, it is hard to determine if it is going to meet your needs.

I have one. Great little scope! Optically excellent and lightweight.
Mine is the previous generation "AV" version, which is what they called this scope before they renamed the AV series "V3." Same scope, though. |

What rifle? I like the Talley Lightweights for most of my rifles.

Don't be so quick to think you need extra low rings for that scope. Low rings work well for most scopes including 40 mm, and the stock will place your eye at just the right level for a 36mm scope. You can try both, and find out which works out. |

I use Talley lows on my TC venture with a 32mm objective and have no problem. The rifle does not have a Monte Carlo stock.

You might want to take a look @ the DNZ Gamereapers. This is a one piece setup that mounts directly to your rifle. I'm really impressed with this product. |
