Brady, nice pup. I hope you like chewed up stuff for a while lol,

I have always heard not to put a dog in " time out " because when you train them to stay they will think they are in trouble. I don't know if it is true or not.

I checked with my wife about time out for a pup, and she said it was true that the dog will think it is in trouble when told to stay. She recommends a pet playpen for a pup when house breaking; put the pup in the pen and when you take it out of the pen, take it outside. The pup will do it's buisness outside, then praise it.
We used it for our latest pup, and she only had one accident in the house, and it was easy to house break her.
It doesn't work as well on old people. My mother-in-law stil goes in the house.

Thanks for the info about the pup. I had an old person doing it in the house once also. I finaly had to use a shock collor to get her to stop. I would catch her dropping trou and i would zap her and she would run out side and go.

So what made you think of getting that for mothers day?

Meoff could be his last name.  Of the three first names I think Jack fits him.

Great looking pup, Brady, congratulations.
We had a boxer when I was growing up. She was a great dog and my buddy.

I like to refer to it as midlife retraining.
