Trying to pick the right scope for my new setup. I want something with good range (100-300yards), click adjustments, side focus (not a must),  and most of all cost effective. I dont want anything I'm not going to use. This will be mounted on a AR-30 .300 mag rifle. ~$400, is it possible? Any and all suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Welcome to The OT.

I'll take the BM. I had one on a .300 RUM with no problems.

I have not heard anything good about the Buck Silver, my experence is limited to the TRS-1  4 to 16-50 and it is a good scope for the money. I think Ilya had a comment on the Buck Silver line but it was not favorable. A number of people like the Swift line of scopes and there exchange program.

For only shooting up to 300 yards a 3 to 9 would not be bad

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the help.

Its between these two. I'll most likly go further in range once I get around 300 mastered. What yardage could I acheive with these powers?

Thought about that one but I dont think the fixed power is for me, I plan to streach the distance in the future.

hi

I got a millett 6x24 and it really works nice. I shoot out to 300 meters and have no problem seeing my 308 holes. The SF is the best part that I like for target shooting.

I shoot matchs with this scope and have not had any problems so far.
