Well looks like I broke another VX-3 on my 378 again.
I need monster scope that can take it.

Funds are limited (imagine that). This thing is a tackdriver and will be used for long range shooting.

Can someone help?

Vortex Viper maybe?  Bushnell 6500?

 For the moment I can not afford a Nightforce guys.

whats your budget? there is many many that can hold up to your rifle but a budget would help in narrowing it down.

I am really looking at this one.  I really like it.  Just do not want to be in the same situation in a month.

I called their tech dept (Jimmy)  and they recommended this model  assured me that this has passed 50 BMG tests over and over.

I would go for the SS 5-20 as well. And with the coupon code right now, the non illuminated can be had for a great deal. Worth the extra money to me.

Better glass will be your friend at 1k, the Viper will probably leave you wanting something else.

Just talked to Leupold.

The mark 4 is indeed a stronger scope .....BUT the first thing he asked was am I using a lead sled.

I said yes but my gun is braked and it feels like a 7mm rem mag. He said that does not make a difference. The recoil is not going where it is suppose to.
This would trash even a Mark 4.

So there you go!

I have shot my 300 WM on lead sleds plenty of times and never had a problem with the Burris or SS scopes I have had on it.  Same with the Burris and SS scopes on my 270 off a lead sled.

I use the SS scopes on a lead sled all the time. 300 WM, 300 WSM, 375H&H.
