Had an old Cobra dual caliper release for years until I wore it out and it released on its own one night (only takes one smack to the jaw to go get a new one!) Went down to the local Bass Pro during their Fall Classic to pick up another Cobra but got talked into one of those Tru-Fire Hardcore foldback releases by a pro/rep there and love it. Was a bit hesitant at first but was told the single caliper will actually give a cleaner release as there's no second caliper to drag/hang up (though I've never had that happen with my old Cobra) Thing's got a hair trigger too. Very nice release.

I do like my Cobra. Had a Fletcher 3-D that had been touched up by a tournament pro. Thing was amazing but, as you discovered they do wear out in time. Spect I'll shoot this Cobra until it gives up. Hope its no time soon!!
