Not being a reloader myself, I still have enjoyed reading through all the threads and absorbing all the wisdom here.  So my question is WHAT powder is in the factory loads?  Since the different powders burn at different rates, speed, temps etc... etc....  How can you tell what your getting from the factory?  Are factory loads consistent?

Most factory loads are a secrete recipe. They are usually a blended powder.

If anyone would like to tell me the two powders and percentages used in the new Hornady super performance .308 match ammo I swear I'll never tell anyone you told me.  I'd also consider buying about 8lbs of the powder mixture. LOL! Varget it ain't!

OK Graham, I went and tried that mixture out and it blew up my rifle... YOU owe me a BRAND NEW Barrett M107... YOU recommended it.  Fortunately, I used a trip wire to try it out... You have my address so I'll be expecting my rifle when I get home...

Oh yeah, it blew up my Hensoldt 6-24x72 SAM scope too....

LOL  where'd you get the TNT?  I've been out for a while!   Either way,  I'll get right on that.  Any particular rings and bases?  I'm sure they where damaged too.

Hmmm, looks like a new powder to play with, and I am still experimenting with RL-17

Oh great , now I'll have to throw out all my old powders and lay in a new supply of wonder powders. Oh well they say it makes good fertilizer.
