Out of all the scopes that you have owned or had the chance to use what is your favorite hunting scope for hunting big game deer elk etc. Christmas List   The scope that is so good you really wish you had another one just like it. Cool

My favorite hunting scope my Nikon Team Primos.  It sits on my 270 win.  I've killed 2 animals using that scope/rifle combo.  A cow elk and a black bear.  Big Smile

I'm pleased with my Vortex Diamondbacks "so far", but my favorite hunter would be an old made in Japan Simmons 3-9 x 40 I got Christmas of 1985. It's now mounted on my dad's old Remington 788 .308 and lives in the back of the gun safe. "lost my dad in 2005"

My Zeiss Conquest 4X32 followed by Zeiss Conquest 3-9X40.  Still warming up to my new Minox ZA3 we'll see after hunting season this November what I really think about it.

Vari-X III 3.5-10x40AO. But after this season it may end up being either my 4X Conquest or 2-7x32 Viper w/C3.

2.2-9x42 Kahles L with a 7A. I do wish it had the 4A of my 1.1-4x24 C, though.

I've been looking real hard at those samplelist Conquests and having trouble making up my mind between that and an Accupoint as I really like an illuminated reticle. Most of my scopes are tactical cause we hunt with muskets and slug guns here. I have not been really impressed with the Nikon Omega musket scope's quality of glass the reticle is great but its time to upgrade glass. So I robbed the 6x42 FX3 heavy duplex off my 300 WSM and put that on the musket. I really like a fixed 6x42 and for a hunting gun but the 300 WSM could stand a bit more scope.

Well my most used scopes have been either my old K4 or my 3-9x40 scopechief as I have had them for probably 25-30 years, and yeah I'd take another especially the scopechief. Practically however my current scope on my go to rifle is my 2-7 vari xii on my roberts or a 3-9 leupy on my 270 so either would probably rein as my current favorite, and yes I'd like to have another 2-7 for my 77rsi.

Swaro, the glass is incredibly clear and crisp and the image extends almost beyond the edges of the scope tube (which are only slightly visible in the site picture.)

It defies thorough explanation, you just gotta see it to believe it.

I own and love Zeiss Diavari too, but the Swaro sight picture is just about perfect: clarity edge-to-edge and great low light performance.  The Diavari has a better water-shedding coating, better for messy weather, but the sight picture through the Zeiss isn't "as perfect" or as forgiving of head position.

My Swaros are on my lightest weight guns and, as relatively compact and relatively light weight, they work exceptionally well in sporter weight or mountain/woods guns.

Do  you feel like the reticle is a bit thin on the Swaro for use in low light?

Maybe a bit, but the low light performance of the glass somewhat offsets the thinner reticle

Zeiss 4.5-14x50 (Z-Plex reticle).  I have a couple of Swarovski's but they are on varmint rigs.  None the less, they're sharp and clear.
