I have had nothing but a bad experience lately. Twice now I have ordered from them and they tell me a day after you order that it is Back ordered. My latest was a SS scope, I paid almost 100 dollars extra to have it for this weekend and nope, its on back order I find out late today but they still want to charge me for the overnight delivery a week from now or when ever they get one lol.  The Sunshade for it will be in a month from now. What? are they making them to order now, if so they need to specify that!

I have an idea!!! IF YOU DO NOT HAVE SOMETHING TELL US BEFORE WE BUY IT, like 99 percent of the companies out there.

Now my weekend of shooting my new rifle is FUBAR. If they would have told me upfront I would have bought another scope from them, not someone else!!!! Now I am pissed to say the least. They need to get it together and tell people upfront what they have and what they do not so people like me will not be extremely upset at them. I have always shopped here over any other for scopes and such for my rifles but I am seriously thinking I will take my business elsewhere if I am in a rush to get something.

I kind of had the same run around, but with a price match. "X" company had a scope on sell. I filled out the price match form from their website and I get an email saying it doesn't match the guild lines. I read over the guidelines for a price match AGAIN and could not find anything that went against their policy. I emailed them back telling them I didnt understand why they could not price match and never heard back :(

I have bought several things from SWFA in the past....

Whats even better is that they decided to punch the clock and leave after telling me they are going to charge me for that shipping price whenever they get the scope. They even tried to say some stuff on the order has left and the back order stuff has not so I am getting charged the same shipping cost. Meanwhile their site says nothing has been processed or charged yet. I better not get charged for overnight, not if they want to keep a customer and not have the whole order cancelled.

LocoLocoLocoLocoLocoLoco You have made the <edited out> of the thread award. ExcellentExcellentExcellent

You would not be laughing if you just paid almost 200 dollars on a 600 dollar order to have your crap sent overnight and then nothing is even sent. Grow up ass hole!!

Please refrain from needless name calling.

Enough. Optics talk is not to be used as a customer service whining venue. You agreed to that what you joined the site. sh*t happens, life is not always fair. Its obvious you joined the site just to complain. Your time here will most likely be short.

I am sure if u call and talk to someone like Skylar at SWFA he will take care of u.

Gentlemen,

When you sign up for Opticstalk, you agree to a set of rules.  The rules are not very complicated and rule #6 specifically states that Opticstalk is not intended as an outlet for SWFA customer service issues.

If you have a bone to pick with SWFA, take it up with them.

Leave Opticstalk out of it.

Rules, you mean those things us guys never read like instructions lol. I get it but no this is not why I signed up to the forums as I am a gun nut like most here. Long range shooting is my passion so I plan on being here awhile if you Mods do not mind.

Remshot, you are most certainly welcome here.

As far as the rules go, they are really just common sense: we want to keep a very civil forum, so discussions are encouraged while mud slinging isn't.

While SWFA is kind enough to provide the forum for us, they leave it to us to run as we see fit.  The only concessions we make to SWFA are also i the rules: do not adertise their competition and do not use it as SWFA customer service.

That is the gist of it.

If you like guns and optics, you will fit it just fine around here.

What has happened to SWFA is that they make a very good product. More and more people are finding out about the quality at an affordable price. It is difficult for them to keep up with demand. Last week I ordered the 10X that was out of stock. When I asked what was in stock I was able to switch to the rear focus and had it the next day. Communication has to go both ways. The phone works better than the internet when placing orders with most any company. The phone provides two way conversation. This was my first 10X, and I love it. Hoping it will bring home a prize for the .22LR Specitaly pistol longest PD at WY-Shot 2015.

My 2 cents....it would be nice if vendors noted in stock, back order, due date, etc to help customers make the best decisions. In general, I want to know of what I am buying is going to be delivered when it says it will be. I bought something I needed by the weekend, paid more for expedite that said would be there, only to not have it delivered and told was on backorder.

I avoid places that do this as I don't think its upfront to the customer. Again, not specific but just in general and my preferences. Hell, most of the benefit of Amazon prime is knowing its going to be here when they say and fast.

Life is full of little disappointments.  I have had some MAJOR disasters in my life.  Not getting a toy on time is not a real biggie.  Some people need to grow up.  But Father Time will take care of that.

In the meantime, try not to whine about it on the Freaking Internet.....it's bad form.

when you need something for this weekend and you order it the same week or even a week before, to me that constitutes poor planning not poor delivery service. Just my two cents! When I really want some info on something I pick up the phone and CALL, that way I can have a positive plan for most all contingencies. Call me anal retentive if you must. But that's just how I roll!

i disagree with the planning part. If you fill out an order and it says overnight or tells you a delivery date and it works for you, it should meet that. It might be poor planning, but that doesn't change the fact that if he knew it wouldn't make it in time, he probably wouldn't have paid to expedite it anyways or may have ordered something else entirely.

Not condoning the posting or anything else, but I don't think its a blame shift to poor planning. I would say it's a valid concern, he's not the only one that has it, and it's a simple fix on sellers part to fix it. his plan would have likely worked if the product was in stock and shipped as advertised.

I think we're all just spoiled with near instant gratification lol. I had Amazon prime stuff delivered to me on Sunday...how long until that's normal for everything?

How many of you would order drone deliveries to the neighbor just so you could shoot down the drone? I'm thinking 5 or 6 shot.
