i have a savage 10fp and a super sniper 16x42.

what kind of base and rings should i get in order to have good clearance???

i've heard burris extreme tactical, warne, and tps.  well, i know nothing of the other two. can someone give me the heads up on those companies and giver their opinion on which will hold up the best.

i'm used to leupold stuff from my m24, but that was when i was overseas, and i have a limited amount of money to spend.

thanks,

jeff

Warne or weaver grand slam steel bases with burris signiture zee rings are a low cost but strong set. You can use the offset inserts for the rings to deal with any scope misalignment issues or elevation needs for long distance shooting. They won't mar or mark up your scope, as well as cause problems torquing the scope. Never had a set slip on me either, probably $45 will cover cost.
