Leica 10x42 non hd range finder binoculars. I know someone selling a pair for $1600 is that a fair price? Keep in mind non hd model.

They are nice, I have a friend with a pair and loves them.  I run Ultravids and love them.

Be aware that, though the warranty on the optics is lifetime, the warranty on the range finder is not.  Also, the range is displayed in the right eye only and it does bloom a bit in very low light.

For glass, Leica is exceptional.  They tend to move their rangefinders along so quickly that, if yours stops working, they probably cannot fix it, several have complained of this.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the response I'm mainly concerned on the price $1600 for used binoculars seems high but I've never owned the quality of these.

Find out how old they are and if everything is in good working order.  Find out if he is the original owner.
The new HDs run $2400.

Not being argumentative here, but the biggest knock on those Leica's, at least it would be for me, is being pre-owned, there would be no warranty whatsoever, not even on the binocular.  Leica's warranty covers the original owner only and does not transfer.
