Has anyone dealt with these? Seems like a nice package for the price.

I have a Bushnell Sport Compact that I mainly bought for bowhunting elk and is good for that use but I had trouble ranging dark objects (ie. bear and elk) at 400-500 yard distances. I'd like to upgrade and would love to buy a Leica but they are pretty spendy.

I just picked up their 1500LRM model and initial testing seems promising. I'll be range testing it next week and will post the results.

Today I was able to use the 1500LRM out at the range for the first time. Got good returns on varied terrain out to about 600yds but beyond that it would appear to need better conditions and more reflective targets. Best range I got today was nearly 850 yds ranging back towards the white wooden wall at the back of the shooting line. Later this week I plan on shooting out about 850yds and have aluminum foil taped to the top of my target as an experimental laser reflector to see if that will improving ranging. From what I've read all laser rangefinders have more difficulty ranging darker targets than lighter targets.
