The Conquest is heads and tails above the Leupold, especially the VXII. Get the Conquest and be very happy.

The Zeiss 3-9X conquest is much better.  Also take a look at the Bushnell 4200 3-9x40 and the Nikon Team Primos 3-9x40 for $300 and $250 respectively.  They are all much better than the VXII and a bit better than the VXIII IMHO.  Leupolds are nice but are much more money than comparable scopes with the same features and warranty.

yeah my bad, typo, the primos is $200. Also did SWFA raise the price on the 4200 3-9x40? I swear I only paid $250 a few months ago.

Guess I should have bought a couple more then. And that reminds me I should buy a Team Primos before they sell out for good.

yeah the more i use my primos and old monarch ucc the more i like them better than my 4200 elite, the eye relief of the nikons is better and that makes it easier to shoot off the bench.

Well, I can tell you that the plex in the 3.5-10x44 CONQUEST is different than that of the 3-9x40 CONQUEST. There is a wider space between the ends of the heavy outer lines. Its like a Leupold WIDE PLEX in comparison to a LEUPOLD PLEX. Some people like it but I tend to prefer the outer lines closer together, which I believe the Nikon will be the same in all models with the heavier lines extending further toward the center. The only thing is I like the heavier outer lines of the Conquest models and the fact that their etched reticles makes a noticeable difference in any lighting situation.

Zeiss Conquest has better glass and a better scope,VXII is not in the same league as the Conquest.VXII maybe a step above the Nikon Buckmaster.
